GLOBAL ETHICS

There are two viewpoints to solve the practical problems of life:

  • Ideologies and religions are applied in practice
  • A solution is sought on the basis of everyday realities
Global Ethics aims at finding a synthesis of these two viewpoints, i.e. values which could unite people representing different cultures and world views. The method by which these common values are sought for, is dialogue. What is global ethics?

Global Ethic is a web course which is organized by the Open University of Joensuu. The course is meant for every person who is interested in finding solutions for our globalized world.

Student completes the course by choosing one option A, B and C. For the chosen option a student reads the recommended literature and accomplishes two assignments (see more details: Study Plan).

You can use the pages for independent study but when using them for teaching, permission is needed.
